Beverly 5 - Danvers 2
The Falcons returned to Dr Deering Stadium for their first home game of the season
against the visiting Panthers. The visitors would control the ball much of the first half
keeping the Falcons on their heels and testing the Falcons back line. Keeper Zach
Cotter made some huge saves keeping the Falcons in it early however the Panthers
would find the back of the net twice in the half and take a 2-0 lead into halftime.

Beverly would take a 3-0 lead about 10 minutes into the 2nd half capitalizing of a
Falcons turnover in midfield. The Falcons, however, would gain some momentum
after the 60thminute and pull the game to 3-2. Senior Michael Rinella would finish a
great individual effort up the left sideline finding the back of the net off the far post.
Rinella’s goal was followed shortly after by senior Bradley Piscitello's first goal of the season
off a feed from junior Luca D’Angelo. The Panthers would put the Falcons under
intense pressure in the final 10 minutes and find the back of the net 2 more times.

Keeper Zach Cotter was huge in net making several key stops for the Falcons.
The Falcons will welcome the Gloucester Fisherman on Monday 9/9.
